Salas jigs are old known favorites for coastal, island and long-range fisherfolk. The range of models allows finding just the right jig for deepwater jigging when after lingcod or Pacific halibut, for gently jigging for white seabass, as surface iron for barracuda, bonito, dorado and bass, yo-yo’ing for yellowtail and dropping back for tuna.

Hook, Line & Sinker is proud to be a Salas Lures dealer.

White seabass, rockfish, lingcod: Drop your Salas jig to the rocks below and lift it up 1 to 2 feet. Jig it up and down twice, lower the rod tip and wait 3 seconds, jig it again twice and repeat the process until you get bit!

For Pacific Halibut, add a rockfish carcass, drop it down deep to the bottom and jig it up and down.

Yellowtail: Drop your Salas jig to the bottom and crank it up at wharp speed. Drop and down and repeat. This is called the "Yo-yo technique".

Dorado and wahoo: Cast and retrieve in the top 50 feet of the water column.

Tuna: Drop back your Salas jig on the slide, after a trolling hookup .
